Is this play even going to happen?
We sure hope so! It depends on if the Snowflake Stake decides to still put on the Pioneer Day Celebration or cancel it. If they cancel the celebration, we have to cancel the musical. That decision will be made by May 10th and we will contact everyone as soon as we know.
When are auditions?
Auditions will be on Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th with callbacks TBA.
With social distancing, how are auditions going to be run?
You will sign up for a 5-minute audition time where you will come and sing your song and read the monologue in front of the production staff. If the role you are auditioning for requires dancing, you will need to learn a short dance from the instructional YouTube video.

Auditions and rehearsals will be held at Dance Amour studio in Snowflake. 30 E. 3rd St. W. Snowflake (the old Shevell's building)

How do I submit my dance audition?
Once you have learned the audition dance, have someone video you doing it. You will need to upload the video to YouTube as "unlisted" and email the link to scltheater@gmail.com. All dance videos must be submitted by Thursday, May 14th at 9:00 AM.
How much does it cost to participate in this show?
$0! It's free! You are volunteering your time and we respect that so we're not charging you on top of your time. We may ask you to provide your own shoes and makeup.
How old do I need to be to audition?
At least 10 years old.
I’ve never been in a play/auditioned before? Can I still audition?
Yes! We strive to be a comfortable place for your first audition.
When do rehearsals start?
Rehearsals for the brothers, brides and suitors will start as soon as possible. Starting in June, the entire cast 3 times a week (this could be more or less depending on the scene we are working on) and will run each week until our performances July 17-25.
What should I wear?
You should wear nice, comfortable clothing.
Do I have to be a dancer to audition?
If you are auditioning for an adult role, there is no dancing involved. Children's ensemble will dance some but formal dance is not required. If you are auditioning for a brother, bride or suitor, there is certainly a lot of dancing so dance training is helpful but not required.
What are you looking for in cast members?
People who are hard working, dedicated, committed, fun, uplifting and able to stay positive under a little stress.
Do I need a headshot/resume?
If you have a resume and headshot, please bring them, but we do not require them to audition. You can fill out the audition form online.
Do I have to sing?
Those trying out for the adult and children's ensemble will not need to sing. All other roles require a singing audition.
Should I prepare a dance?
You will need to learn the dance from the video we send you.
What if I have conflicts with rehearsals?
We accept some conflicts with the rehearsal schedule. We do not allow any conflicts during the week before and of the show. Conflicts are taken under consideration when casting.
What if I can't make it to one of the performances?
If you are cast in this production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, you will be required to attend every performance. If you know you will miss a performance, you will not be cast.
Who is putting on this show?
This production is the combined effort of Silver Creek Little Theater and Dance Amour and we have an all-star production team that we are so excited about!! This team includes David Bowman, Steven Mills, Alethia Broderick, and Jeff and Elizabeth Brinton.
If Dance Amour is helping to put this on, do I have to be a student at Dance Amour to be part of the show?
No! This is a community play. We invite everyone who is interested from all around, from any studio, school, town, or walk of life to audition for this play.
