>>> THIS PRODUCTION DEPENDS ON GOVERNOR DUCEY'S MANDATES AND ON THE DECISION OF THE SNOWFLAKE STAKE ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY WILL HOLD THE PIONEER DAY CELEBRATION THIS YEAR<<<
Silver Creek Little Theater and Dance Amour are excited to announce their production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers on July 17, 18 and 23 & 25, 2020 at Lobo Auditorium in Snowflake, AZ.
Show description:
Based on the classic film, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is an authentic piece of Americana, a time-tested romantic comedy. Bringing the raucous Oregon frontier from the screen to the stage, it is a crowd-pleasing hit that has audiences cheering from the opening scene to the curtain call. Saddle up for a joyride in this tale of stubborn men and cunning women.
The men in question are Adam and his six unruly brothers, who think they know what a woman's place is and how to keep her there. It takes Milly, Adam's spirited new wife, and six other savvy women to show them who's the boss.
AUDITIONS:
We will hold auditions in 5 minute pre-scheduled time slots on Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th.
CAST AGES: Adam (20-30), Milly (18-25), Brothers (15-30), Brides (14-25), Suitors (14-25), Children's ensemble (10-18) and adults (please view character descriptions below)
WHAT TO EXPECT: Please come prepared to sing a minute of a song from a similar Broadway show. We highly recommend a song from Seven Brides but it is not required. Bring your accompaniment on your phone or the sheet music so our pianist can accompany you.
Auditions for adult ensemble roles do not require dancing but will be asked to read a short monologue. Dancing experience is not required for the children's ensemble but there will be some dancing for those who can.
Those auditioning for the role of a brother, bride or suitor will read a short monologue, sing and learn a dance.
